Engineer Intern entails providing supervision, instruction, and support during our summer programs. This includes ensuring student safety, assisting in camp preparation, engaging in activities, managing behavior, and handling administrative tasks
About the Role:
As a member of the CODE313 Team, the summer S.T.E.A.M. Engineer Intern will provide supervision, instruction, and ongoing assistance to program staff, scholars, and volunteers during summer programs. Responsibilities will include; student safety, assisting in the preparation of materials for camps, assisting in crafts, games, hikes, animal encounters, behavior management and other camp activities, assisting in the set up, clean up, and running of day camps as well as other clerical duties such as filing, data entry, research and more.
- This assignment is approximately 6 weeks and starts June 24, 2024.
- Summer programs occur July 5th – August 9th, with a mandatory training starting on June 24th. You must be available for all training and program dates.
Due to the level of responsibility for the Summer S.T.E.A.M. Engineer, you must be 18+ to apply. All S.T.E.A.M. Engineer Interns will be subject to a background check.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Student Safety
- Preparation of materials for upcoming camps
- Assisting in behavior management
- Assisting in the set up, cleanup and running of programs onsite
- Assisting in the check in/out of students
Compensation:
The Summer S.T.E.A.M. Engineer can make up to $6,000 for participating in full duration of summer programs.
