Learning in Motion: Sparking Curiosity and Confidence Through Hands-On STEAM at Morse Elementary
CODE313 x Star Factory S.T.E.A.M. SLAM School Tour
x Morse Elementary School

The CODE313 x Star Factory S.T.E.A.M. SLAM School Tour brought high-energy STEAM learning to Morse Elementary School, engaging more than 300 students in a full day of interactive, hands-on technology experiences designed to inspire curiosity at an early age. For many of the scholars, this was their first time engaging with technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, and drone simulation and the excitement was instant.
Turning the School Into a STEAM Playground
Morse Elementary transformed into a vibrant learning environment as students rotated through CODE313’s signature STEAM activations. Each station was designed to be age-appropriate, fun, and accessible, allowing students to learn by doing, exploring, and experimenting.
Laughter, focus, and curiosity filled the space as students tried new challenges and celebrated their wins together.
Interactive Experiences That Made Learning Come Alive
Students engaged in a full lineup of immersive activities:
- Virtual Reality (VR):
Students explored digital environments that introduced them to how VR is used in storytelling, education, and design.
- Augmented Reality (AR):
Scholars interacted with AR tools that showed how digital content can enhance the real world, blending imagination with technology.
- Drone Flight & Simulation:
A favorite station where students practiced navigating drones through virtual environments while learning basic flight concepts.
- Blaze Pods Reaction Challenges:
Fast-paced, movement-based challenges that combined physical activity with technology, helping students build coordination and focus.
- Box Stacking Competition:
A teamwork-driven engineering challenge that encouraged problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration.
Each activation gave students a new way to engage with STEAM, helping them discover interests they didn’t even know they had.
Inspiring Confidence and Big Dreams
Throughout the day, students asked questions, shared ideas, and proudly showed off what they accomplished. Many left saying how excited they were to try similar activities at home or learn more about technology in school. One young boy was so excited that he went home and told his family about his experience, his family then took the next step to reach out to us let us know their child wanted to find a way to study and work with us. That excitement is exactly what the S.T.E.A.M. SLAM Tour is all about planting seeds early and helping students see that STEAM is fun, accessible, and something they belong in.
Looking Ahead
We’re grateful to Morse Elementary School and our partners at Star Factory for welcoming CODE313 into their school community. Seeing hundreds of young learners leave excited, inspired, and confident reminds us why early exposure to STEAM matters so much.
At CODE313, we’re committed to building futures. one school, one experience, and one spark of curiosity at a time.
