Learning in Motion: Tech-Fueled Exploration That Opened New Doors

The CODE313 S.T.E.A.M. SLAM School Tour made an exciting stop at Bow Elementary-Middle School, where we transformed their gym into a dynamic, tech-powered experience designed to engage, inspire, and challenge students in the best possible way.

With our full lineup of interactive stations from VR to drone simulation, students were given the chance to step into the world of STEAM careers through hands-on discovery and immersive learning. More than 150 scholars participated in the experience, each one walking away with a new sense of curiosity and confidence.

A Full Gym Takeover With High-Energy Learning

From the moment the first group walked in, the energy was unmatched. We turned Bow’s gym into a buzzing hub of exploration, with stations that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and curiosity.

Students moved freely between each experience, challenging themselves, competing with friends, and learning skills connected to real-world tech pathways.

Immersive Tech Stations That Bring STEAM to Life

Each activation was designed to give scholars a meaningful, memorable intro to emerging technologies:

  • Virtual Reality (VR):
Students stepped into digital worlds and experienced gaming, simulation, and interactive design in a whole new way — sparking interest in careers like XR development and computer science.

  • Augmented Reality (AR):
A creative station where students interacted with digital overlays and saw firsthand how AR plays a role in media, storytelling, and modern tech innovation.

  • Drone Flight Simulation:
Scholars navigated drone missions through simulated environments, giving them a taste of aviation, robotics, and the growing field of remote piloting.

  • Blaze Pods Reaction Training:
Fast-paced reaction challenges blended technology and physical activity, demonstrating how data and tech intersect with sports, performance, and human movement.

  • Box Stacking Competition:
A lively team challenge that brought engineering, balance, and physics to life, with plenty of excitement and friendly competition.

Each station offered something different, and it was powerful to watch students find the experience that spoke to them the most.

Planting Seeds for Future Innovators

One of the highlights of the day was hearing students ask questions about tech careers, training programs, and how they could continue learning beyond the event. That curiosity, that hunger to know more is exactly what the CODE313 x Star Factory S.T.E.A.M. SLAM School Tour aims to inspire.

Many students left saying things like:

“I didn’t know tech could be this fun,”or “I want to learn how to do this for real.”

Moments like these are why CODE313 continues to invest in accessible, high-impact STEAM programming. Exposure isn’t just exciting , it’s transformational.

Looking Forward

A huge thank you to Bow Elementary-Middle School for inviting CODE313 and Star Factory to bring the S.T.E.A.M. SLAM experience to their scholars. The enthusiasm, creativity, and engagement from the students made this stop one to remember.

We look forward to continuing our tour and reaching even more schools with the message that tech is for everyone and every student deserves the chance to see where their potential can take them.
